Why we need your support
Our Helpline has been there throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, with our trained respiratory nurses offering reassurance and clarity at what has been a very scary time for people with lung disease. Your support helps us to be there for everyone with a lung condition.
Fundraising support
From sponsor forms to help getting your story into the press - we've got plenty of fundraising resources on our website. Our team will also be there for personalised support throughout the challenge via email and our Take Steps Facebook community.
Coronavirus advice
We're constantly updating our coronavirus information for people with lung conditions.
If you have a question about doing Take Steps and coronavirus, you can visit our FAQ section.
You can help to support everyone with lung disease.
Either take on the challenge alone or use it as an opportunity to stay connected with friends, family and colleagues. Exercise and being in nature are vital in reducing stress, and are particularly important if you have a lung condition. We hope this virtual challenge will become a fun addition to your daily routine.
Our work is vital. During the pandemic we've seen record numbers of people come to us for advice and help. Calls to our Helpline nurses tripled. We were a lifeline for vulnerable people. But we need your support to help us continue to support those in need of our services.
The British Lung Foundation is the only charity looking after the millions of people in the UK with a lung condition, and the millions more at risk.
We give people hope through our research, looking for new treatments and cures. We campaign for better diagnosis, treatments and prevention and lobby the government to make lung health a priority. And we offer essential support through our Helpline and support groups. For further information, please visit www.blf.org.uk.
